My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🤴 Duke is an awesome big boy! We just love this guy's personality. He's a very happy and sweet boy, and he would love to find a family of his very own.
Duke does great with other dogs - once he's properly introduced and given time to adjust. It took him 2-3 weeks to get along with his furry foster sister, and now, they're best friends.
Duke is wonderful with all people and is a big goofball who will bring a bright ray of sunshine to your home. He's well-behaved, crate trained, and housebroken.
Duke takes Apoquel daily for skin allergies, and he is currently eating a prescription diet for a sensitive tummy.
Duke loves walkies, and he loves to try to chase bunnies (so kitties probably aren't a great fit for him). He enjoys playing fetch and running around his yard. He is a big, strong boy and does well on the leash most of the time...but, he can pull hard when something catches his eye or he's excited.
Duke is an expert snuggler, and he loves big, soft beds, couches, etc.
He'd love to be your best friend.

ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.tinyurl.com/IADRAdoptionApp

***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ***

Our adoption fee is $175.

We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason.

Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

More about this rescue

I Am Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based, no-kill, non-profit animal rescue organization based in North Texas. Our primary purpose is to assist homeless and unwanted dogs of all breeds and sizes by providing necessary health care and rehabilitation for them prior to adoption by a loving and responsible forever family. In our efforts, we work with the “rescue community” at large to educate people about the benefit of spay/neuter and the responsibilities and costs of pet ownership to decrease the number of homeless animals. Our volunteers are the life-blood of our mission!
