My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

wagoninn.rescuegroups.org

Toby James is an adorable boy who is looking for a home! Toby James is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon if we find a foster or adopter. We do offer a foster-to-adopt placement to approved applicants.

Toby James foster says, " He is a big boy. He loves to play with his ball and with Harry. Harvey is his favorite cat. When I am doing work around the house I let the puppies each take turns helping me. Toby stays by my side. He walks out when I go to hang out laundry and he especially likes to follow me into the chicken yard. He does like to flush the birds sometimes, but only to see them make noise. He isn’t mean and he isn’t a killer . He loves to play in wet grass , slip and slide and catch crickets. He will make someone a wonderful pet!'

Toby James is friendly with other dogs and he loves people! He enjoys toys and walks and rides in the car.

Toby James is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $550.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
