Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Felix and his brother Hector were owner surrenders. They are available for either in-state adoption or adoption and transport to another state. They do not need to be adopted together.
Felix is a fun and loving chihuahua. At 8 lbs and around 1 year of age, he packs a big punch of love! Felix LOVES to socialize with people and other dogs and wants to make as many people and canine friends as possible. He is generally quiet but does bark in appropriate situations. Felix and his brother Hector are being fostered in a home with many other big and small dogs. He will meet the other dogs through his kennel with a wagging tail. He has had successful play dates with the little 18lb terrier but has not been out with the big dogs yet (although he would like to be). Felix is paper-trained and will also go potty outside. He would be a fantastic apartment dog. He would need a canine companion or a situation where he is not left alone while you are at work.
Because Felix is so small, he must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that could hurt him. He must also be protected from raptors and other outdoor predators. Felix must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. To avoid injury, he will need steps to get on and off the couch and other furniture. Felix must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and would like a secure, fenced yard to run and play.
Felix is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Felix has a $200 in-state adoption fee. His out-of-state adoption fee is $450 and includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company. He can be transported almost anywhere within the continental United States. Felix is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after he is adopted.
