Introducing His Royal Highness King Leopold the 1st…he just goes by Leo A045856 in shelter though. He’s currently a king without a castle, but that doesn’t stop him from thinking he’s running the show! He’s toy obsessed and thinks any and all toys should belong to him. He’s particularly fond of the ones that squeak, but he’s been known to bounce from toy to toy to keep himself amused. He can never have enough! Leo has some very gentlemanly like manners when he wants to. He’s good on a leash, knows how to sit on command, and loves to be pet and adored. But we’ve found he only wants to leave the play yard when he feels like it, and he seems to think he’s the boss. Leo has been looking for a loving home to either indulge his kingly fantasy, or get him some training so he’ll accept them as his sovereign.

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.

You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday also from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are open Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm and closed on Sunday.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
