My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

An amazing elderly couple rescued  Jonah  and h is  brothers and sisters after they were born to a feral mom.  He  has been a 100% indoor cat since  he  was born in 201 7 . Unfortunately, h is  human dad has passed, and her human mom is no longer able to live alone. She  has to  relocate and cannot keep her beloved pets.

Jonah is such a sweet boy  once  he feels comfortable with new people. Jonah would not be considered a special needs cat, but he is very shy when he first meets new people .  He will  need patient new humans.  He has become much more outgoing and sociable now that  there are less   cats in his house H e is now living with 2 .

Jonah has never lived with a dog and would probably be afraid. Only he can tell you if he would like to live with a dog, but he runs when they visit. He doesn’t emerge until they are gone.  He has only lived with his elderly humans in a quiet household without children. When they visit, he tends to hide until it’s quiet again. He is not comfortable with noise and chaos. Jonah will be an excellent first cat for someone or good for a couple.

Once he knows you love him and he will be safe, he  opens up  to love you and  show  his playful side . You will have your new best friend.

All our animals have age-appropriate vaccinations and are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV before adoption. Adoption fees for all cats are $200 and $300 for a pair! Direct link to adoption application: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=MFNXQGKR

More about this rescue

The idea for Kizzy's Place began after 4 animal advocates, who had been involved in cat rescue for a while, were inspired to combine efforts. Each wanted to help a cat named Kizzy, who was on the urgent list at a local shelter, but each realized that they could not help Kizzy alone. Kizzy needed immediate transportation from the shelter, funds for a vet visit, and an experienced foster home in which he could recuperate from URI, a tall order. So after talking about it communally, the advocates each handled a piece of the operation, resulting in a successful rescue effort! The new friends noted that rescue groups sometimes need a little extra help, like a foster, transporter, or private donor, to assist them in doing their noble work. Also, they recognized that individual animal rescuers sometimes need the wider reach of an organized rescue group to help get their adoptable animals noticed by potential adopters. This is what Kizzy’s Place provides, a network of friends to mutually assist each other!

We are a registered 501(c)3 non profit that matches homeless animals with their forever homes!
