Introducing Mandy! Mandy is a 1 year old spotted Lab mix who weighs about 40lbs. This little social butterfly is ready for her furever home.
Although Mandy is hearing and seeing impaired, that doesn’t get in her way. She is flourishing in her foster home. Her foster mom reports: “She is perfectly well behaved! She has no more crate anxiety, walks excellent on a leash and has learned some commands, sit, lay down with hand motions/touch.
She is extremely social and well behaved all around. She also doesn't have any accidents in the house. Mandy loves all dogs regardless of size, age, or breed. Her ability to run with the pack despite her disabilities, plus, her ability to relax, cuddle and snuggle up to human and dog friends alike makes her an extra special companion. She even does well with children!
Mandy is a true gem. As with any new animal, her adopters should be patient letting her get adapted to their home and routine. Mandy would do best in a home with another dog/dogs or someone who is home the majority of the time. Mandy has not been tested with cats. If Mandy sounds like the girl for you, please fill out an application with Broken Tail Rescue.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
