Lady is a four-year-old, ten-pound, spayed female Miniature Pinscher. She is up to date on shots, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She was surrendered to a shelter due to her family becoming homeless.
She has been with her foster family since the first week of April. She came to us with a bad ear infection. The infection has been treated and cleared up, but she has some hearing impairment now.
She was, at first, very tentative with her foster family, but since the ear infection has cleared up, she has become much happier and more playful. Her foster family reports that her hearing seems to be a bit better and they hold out hope for more improvement.
She loves to snuggle on the couch and in bed. She ignores the cats and gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. Her tail was never docked, and it is quite intriguing to watch it in action. She quickly took to the doggy door and goes out to potty on her own.
She is learning to walk on a leash and loves to look out from a window or door. She is tentative about meeting strangers, but it doesn’t take her long to ask them for a bit of affection.
Her foster family recently had a house full of company (including more dogs) for Mother’s Day weekend and Lady was a big hit and was not at all uncomfortable around the crowd.
We would love for her to have another dog to play with.
She is located with her foster family in Salem, IL and her adoption fee is $275.00
