My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet 9 month old Karma (a Taylor Swift reference!).  Karma is part of the “bakers dozen” of puppies who came into rescue from a very bad situation in Southern Oregon.  Karma is a very sweet yet shy pup.  She’s cautious of people at first, but once she trusts you she wants all the love and attention!  She is food motivated and loves to help herself to unattended things left on a counter.  She is quite sneaky and often grabs a towel or blanket as soon as you turn around and then she disappears out the door.  Watching you run after her is one of her favorite games!  Her crate is her “safe” space and her foster leaves the door open for her at all times so she can access it when she needs it.  She puts herself in it for bed at night and sleeps well all through the night.  She is pretty good on a leash and gets along well with all her foster siblings.  She doesn’t even bother the resident cat.  She plays hard and also likes her quiet time, you can find her in her soft dog bed or resting under a tree in the yard.  Karma has a serious bark when she hears someone approaching, characteristic of her true guardian breed(s).  She is a sweet girl that would thrive with someone who is calm and patient.  In return, she will reward you with lots of love!   Karma is being fostered in OR and can be adopted within the PNW.

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES THAT HAVE AT LEAST ONE MEDIUM TO LARGE YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG that is age 1 or older. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor. 2) These puppies can be livestock dogs to farms and homesteads experienced in training LGDs. They also must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. 3) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone must also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8+ hours a day. 4) We give preference to applicants with prior Great Pyrenees knowledge/experience. 5) Secure and visible fencing required. 6) You must have a plan in place to socialize your puppy properly. Adoption Fee: $375 All of our puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6. Transport Fee: $350 Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport. All of our puppies are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959 Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.
