Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐕 🐕 FLUFF & RUFF PUPPIES – MOE, JACK, FRED and {ADOPTED 5/18 WILLY} (all boys) – Available May 18th when they will be 8 weeks old (Accepting applications NOW) – for more pictures please click https://norcalbcrescue.org/available-dogs/our-dogs/ 🐕 🐕
Say hello to the Fluff & Ruff puppies - JACK AVAILABLE, and {ADOPTED 5/18 WILLY & 5/23 MOE, ADOPTION PENDING - FRED} - all boys! These sweet boys are 7-weeks-old and will be ready to be adopted after they are 8-weeks-old on May 18th. We will be taking applications and then setting up appointments for on or after the 18th. Mom dog Rosie, pictured with her puppies, is a classically marked, medium coat BC. She is a very sweet young BC, who has been a great mom to her puppies. Once her milk dries up, she will be spayed and after she has recovered, she’ll be available for adoption. No more “oops” litters for her! Dad dog is a BC mix (possibly with cattle dog), but these puppies have more of the BC look and characteristics.
These are typical BC puppies who will need structure, training, and someone who is home most of the time. These are not the kind of dogs that you leave at home alone while you are at work for 8 hours; nor would they be ok living in a small apartment. They would be an excellent candidate for dog sports or outdoor adventures.
While they are all very good-natured pups who love to romp and play, below are some of the differences in their personalities that we have observed.
AVAILABLE, moving to Loomis, Placer County foster 5/24 - JACK is the explorer. He loves to run and play. He is more of a leader than a follower and is more independent. He is also very sweet.
ADOPTION PENDING - FRED is a boisterous, fun ball of energy and a very happy-go-lucky boy. Life is good for this little guy.
ADOPTED - WILLY loves his toys. He likes to play hard then take a power nap. He's also very sweet and friendly.
ADOPTED - MOE is the thinker of the group. He likes to check out the situation before jumping in. He is also the most snuggly of the group.
The puppies sleep in a puppy pen at night and are happy and eager to go out in the AM for their morning potty. Then, the best thing ever... breakfast! After that comes playtime and then, of course, the puppy nap. Rinse and repeat!
They all love tugging toys. They have been great with dogs of all sizes as well as cats. They have had playful encounters with neighbors’ grade-school-aged grand kids. They are fast learners, and they come when called with kisses. They will make wonderful companions for those who know and love this wonderful breed.
The FLUFF & RUFF PUPS are current on vaccinations, as well as heartworm and flea/tick prevention. They are microchipped. As a condition of puppy adoption, they will need to be altered by their new owner when they reach approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded.
If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to inquire (or apply here - https://norcalbcrescue.org/adoption/adoption-application/) about the pups, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
THE FLUFF & RUFF Puppies are being fostered in Galt in Sacramento County, California.
