My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Willy!

I am a one-year-old, neutered, 45-pound, medium-energy, medium-length-coat German Shepherd mix.I am a friendly and relaxed dog with a playful and clever nature. I have a moderate amount of energy and I am up to date with my vaccinations.

From the beginning, my life has been tough. I was mistreated by my previous owner, and my fellow dog siblings chewed off the tips of my ears, probably because I am more submissive. Despite this, I've coped well. I'm a shy boy and will require your guidance and support. I will always look to you for direction and rely on your support.

I'm a very tolerant and the bestest boy! I want a confident sibling like my foster mom's American Bulldog Blend. I'm cautious but open to new experiences and people. I need patient and consistent humans who encourage and support me.

When I crave your attention and need some affection, I'll roll over and expose my belly. Those who meet my craving for a delicious snack gain my favor. I will swivel my head from side to side whenever I hear an intriguing sound.

I’m skilled at engaging in conversations and providing valuable suggestions that I consider worthwhile. I want to show you affection and shower you with kisses.
I know the following commands: sit, down, crate, come, off, and HAPPY!

I enjoy both relaxing at home and playing outside. I particularly enjoy going for walks, especially with a confident dog friend. Additionally, I am crate trained and find comfort in my crate when I need some time to myself. Currently in Olympia

The adoption fee includes up to date on vaccines (except Bordetella), vet evaluation, de-worming, microchip, spay/neuter if the pet is old enough. If the pet is too young, adopters must fill out a spay/neuter agreement and provide a $100.00 refundable deposit. More about this rescue

Imagine Peace for Pups Rescue started as an independent rescue. Lisa Clark our founder started networking dogs in high kill shelters through Facebook, in 2012. She knew that rescue was the path her life was going to take. Little Dobby was the first dog that was rescued from a shelter under what we know today as Imagine Peace for Pups Rescue -and that's when the Lisa decided to officially start a rescue. Without much money in the bank, she filed for and was approved as a federal 501(c)3 non-profit charity.

IPFP is an all foster rescue. Without foster homes and donations, lives cannot be saved. Currently IPFP has 20+ fosters in WA and Or and they are always looking for loving homes to join the family.
