Meet Sophia, a sweet 7 month old spayed female cur/hound mix, currently weighing about 40 lbs. She has a beautiful brindle and white coat, with spots on her legs. Sophia and her brother Boxy were sadly abandoned in TN. They can both be a bit shy and take a little while to warm up to new people, but they are very sweet dogs!
Sophia is good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. She is working on leash training.
From Sophia's current foster:
“Sophia - low energy in the house but as soon as she goes out with other dogs, she’s a playful puppy. Loves being with other dogs, her whole demeanor changes! Sleeps like a rock at night - her favorite position for sleeping is on her back. If someone is looking for a companion for their dog, Sophia would be perfect - just enough play and energy for any dog.
When she first arrived, I had to carry her out of her transport and whenever she went outside. Doesn’t like to be rushed but always gets there with gentle prodding. Want a couch potato who will be a great companion for your younger or older dog, Sophia is the one.
Her personality is typical hound, aloof and low key til it’s time to play. No problem with my cat - absolutely no interest.”
Apply to meet Sophia today!
NOTE - all of our dogs come with a certificate of health from state of origin (TN) and from Connecticut per the 2024 CT Dept of Agriculture laws for rescue dogs. Our dogs are healthy, fully vetted, and in loving foster homes where they are socialized, housebroken and taught good house manners.
