My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This animal with be available to meet and adopt at WilmerHale at 3040 Newmark Drive Miamisburg, OH 45342 from 11am till 3pm on Sep 21th.

Meet Happy, the gentle giant with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! This big, sweet boy was transported to us from another shelter, and he's been winning hearts ever since. Though he's usually a quiet guy, you might hear a little bark or two if you have treats in hand or if he's really excited to see you.

Happy is the ultimate walking buddy, sticking close by your side to feel safe and secure. He's a little shy around loud noises and unfamiliar things, but with a little reassurance, he'll be back to his happy self in no time. His favorite part of the day? Going on long walks or zooming around the yard like a puppy, living up to his name with every joyful sprint!

If you're looking for a loyal companion who's always ready for a walk or a play session, Happy could be the perfect match. Interested in giving this sweet boy his forever home? Fill out an application on our website or stop by the shelter to meet Happy in person!

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
