My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rexy. This sweet but shy guy is looking for a new family to love. Rexy came to us from another shelter, and we don't know much about his past. Based on Rexy's timid nature we're not sure he has had many positive experiences with people. We are trying to find a quiet, secure home to help Rexy gain his confidence and feel safe around his people. Rexy loves treats. He does walk well on a leash and does his best not to use the bathroom in his kennel. Rexy may benefit from having a confident canine playmate. At this time we don't know how he does with cats. We think Rexy would do best in a home with kids 12+.

Additional adoption info

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.

If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.

If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter's home.

Some animals may require a home inspection.

Verification of current pet(s) vaccine/vet records.
