My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Bailey, a one year old, 45 lb., GSD mix and I’m up for fun and adventure! I don’t remember much of my previous life other than I was found as a stray and I have a nub for a tail.

Transitioning to the shelter was scary at first, but I soon learned that people are very nice, and I even started friendships with a couple of other dogs! According to the shelter staff, I walk well on a leash, I’m “very sweet and loving” with people, and I’m always down for play.

My ideal person or family would play with me, take me on walks, and give me lots of toys to play with! So, what do you say, how about giving me a chance?

Additional adoption info

The process to adopt/foster dogs and cats is different. Please speak to the volunteer assisting you in the adoption process to confirm details about the process.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events every weekend in the DC/Baltimore Metro Area and also schedule private meet and greets once a potential adopter/foster has applied for a specific dog or cat.
