ABOUT SHELBY
This one-eyed beauty is our girl Shelby! She came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in New Jersey when they no longer had space for her. Despite being in the shelter, she settled in beautifully and has been quite the favorite around here! Shelby spent a couple of months as our lobby cat, greeting all visitors and leaning into everyone for love. She enjoys playing with jingles balls and wand toys, zooming quickly to bat them around. She also appreciates a good afternoon nap, either cuddled up with you or cozy on her bed. Shelby is very friendly when meeting new people, though she is also a confident girl and will set boundaries if she gets overwhelmed with a gentle tap. While Shelby is social with people, she is seeking a home as your only cat.
If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started
