READY FOR ADOPTION!!
Meet Australian Shepherds Furever a 501c3 non profit, MAX 💙 Located in Lincoln, Maine
He has been with me for 2 weeks, today, and is doing fabulous.
MAX is a neutered 1 year old, Australian Shepherd with A LOT to give his person. MAX came into the rescue at 8 weeks from a backyard breeder with his littermates and has had a great start with a loving Foster. However, MAX needed some help with his impulse control and confidence, so we were happy to help this beautiful dog.
: Commands: Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Paw, Settle, This Way, Place, Ok, Leave It
: Perfect Leash Manners
: Working On: Retrieve, Severe Vehicle Fear, Herding Tendencies, Fear reactivity with new dogs, Confidence
: MAX will come with a Training Plan and ongoing support from myself at no charge.
: Access to Sadie's Place - Sniffspot at no charge.
: Established Veterinarian Care at Lincoln Regional Veterinary Hospital.
: He does extremely well with other dogs, you just need to introduce appropriately. Great play style and I have integrated a "Check In" if he appears to be to aroused.
: High Prey Drive, Low Pack Drive, Medium Defense Drive
: Completely Crate and Potty Trained
: Not vocal and has a beautiful OFF switch.
: He is around Cats. I don't recommend cats unless you are able to monitor the interactions and navigate the relationship.
: Been exposed to Agility and thrives with the Structure.
: Gentleman at the Vet and getting Groomed.
: UTD on all vaccines and on preventatives
MAX'S PERSON:
: Encouraging, Confident, and Patient
: Dedicated to continuing his training and teaching him resilience.
: Educated in the breed and a Strong Leader.
: Structured
: Needs to love hiking, walking, swimming, or even a working farm.
I encourage meet and greets or emails for additional questions.
There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
