My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This lovely girl is playful, affectionate, curious, devoted, and can be goofy at times. Carlie is a 3-year-old Pit mix that weighs 40 lbs. Mainly white with brown ears, face, and some small spots, she is a beauty who is loyal and devoted to her owner. When I was sick, she stayed by my side until I was better. When our little chihuahua was sick, Carlie stayed by her side until she was well again. Happy to run around in the backyard, play with her ball and bone, or roll around in the grass, but immediately comes when called. Neighbor dogs can be feisty, but Carlie will come and ignore them when told to “Leave” and “Come Inside”. This sweet girl is spayed, chipped, and up to date on her vaccines. She does well at the vet and doggie daycare (the daycare guys just love her!). While inside, Carlie enjoys a good nap and small play with the chihuahua. Outside at least once a day Carlie enjoys a full run around the yard to get her zoomies out. If you are up to it, she enjoys walks and walks well on a leash. She loves to visit and play with her cousins (German Shepherds and a Boxer mix). We haven’t had a chance to see Carlie with small children so would want to make sure small kids are respectful and interactions are monitored. This sweet girl is so well trained she will walk to the backdoor when she needs out or come and lay her head on your leg. She will give a paw when she wants to play and kisses when I fill her dog bowl. She loves dog treats and will immediately come if you say “treats”. Carlie is very well-behaved and is both crate-trained and house-broken. No need to worry if you are out and about running errands and it takes longer than anticipated, she will wait until you return. This devoted dog will alert you when someone approaches your home. Command to “Leave It” and she will walk away. She is such a loving and sweet girl, but I will be traveling extensively now that I a retired and it wouldn’t be fair to her to constantly be boarded. I want her to have her best doggie life and to be with a good loving home who can spend time with her.
