My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you ready to welcome a superstar into your life? Bunnifer Lopez, a gorgeous 3-year-old Rex rabbit, is looking for her forever home!

Her cute twitching nose and soft fur are a testament to her irresistible charm. Bunnifer has the cutest little bursts of energy, zooming around in excitement and exploring every inch and corner of her surroundings. This zestful girl also loves to stretch her legs, kick back, and enjoy some Zen time.

Bunnifer came into our care quite underweight, and due to her limited access to food before, she has shown resource guarding with her food and treats. Because of this, she needs a home with no children.

She's showing great improvement, and we're continuing to work on this behavior.

If you have a child-free home and a heart full of love, Bunnifer Lopez could be your new best friend. Contact us to meet this charming star today! 🌟🐰

If you think Bunnifer Lopez is the perfect fit for you, email your application to the Cowichan branch at duncanspca@spca.bc.ca

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
