My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In the words of her foster family "Rosemary is the most chill cat I've ever met. Unflappable!"

Rosemary (Rosie, for short) is a female domestic shorthair young adult tortoiseshell. She was rescued in April 2024 alongside her newborn litter of five, affectionately known as the "Spice Babies" and we estimate her birth month to be April 2023. She is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated, including her rabies vaccine. She is negative for FeLV/FIV and vaccinated against feline leukemia and FVRCP, accordingly.

Now having successfully raised and weaned her babies, she is ready for a life of luxury fit for a queen. Rosemary is affectionate and sweet -- she will greet you when you come home. She loves to bird watch, and often makes adorable chirp sounds while her tail goes back and forth watching them from the windows.

Unfazed by guests and her resident dog, Rosemary knows how to be center of attention when she wants to be, or be a ninja out of sight when she feels like it. She is really enjoying the solo cat life, so as long as you can give her love and attention, she'll be a purrfect fit in your home.

Additional adoption info

After completing an application, a Windsor Kittens volunteer will reach out to you to talk to you about next steps including opportunities to meet the cat(s) if you haven't already done so.

Playdates will only be scheduled for approved applicants to protect the safety of our cats and foster families. Adoptions are matched based on best fit, not who applied for a particular cat first. Adoptions are not considered finalized until an adoption contract has been completed and the adoption fee has been paid to Windsor Kittens.

More about this rescue

Windsor Kittens got its start in 2022 when four women in the Windsor Park neighborhood of east Charlotte, NC came together to address the large number of community cats in their area. Since then, this grassroots organization has expanded its efforts to rescue more cats for adoption and help greater numbers of community cats through trap-spay/neuter-vaccinate-release (TNR). Windsor Kittens loves helping cats find their forever homes.
