Obie entered the shelter with a group of other dogs, and ended up here to no fault of his own after his owner passed. He is all that is left of that original group, and is more than ready to find his furever home. Obie is a very happy-go-lucky goofball, he has never met a stranger, and loves to romp and wrestle with people and dogs alike. He is a big sweetheart who just got dealt an unfair hand in life, and is ready for his second chance. If you have other animals in your home we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Obie home. OUR MISSION: It is the mission of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter to provide an environment of continuous improvement; emphasizing excellent service and safety for the community; providing the dogs and people of Fairfield County protection, care, and compassion with innovative, yet sustainable means; all while maintaining a standard of the utmost integrity.

It is the purpose of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Shelter to embrace the dogs of the community; to keep lost or adoptable dogs safe until they can find their way home; to protect Fairfield County through the enforcement of Section 955 of the Ohio Revised Code , and to continue to provide the community with education opportunities on the importance of pet safety and population control.
