For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Tato is a 4 year old, 55 lb Black Mouth Cur mix. If you aren't familiar with this wonderful breed, they are described as friendly, lively, loyal, active, energetic, playful, and bright.
We also think he may be mixed with Greyhound and Shepherd, but breed mix is just our best guess. Tato loves to be outside in the backyard on nice weather days. It's so much fun to watch him literally kick up his heels as he runs zoomies around the backyard. Tato knows the "sit" and "come" commands, and learned the doggie door in two tries. He loves to chase a tennis ball, and will actually bring it back and drop it at your feet for another game of fetch. He gets along with other dogs, but he may annoy older, more sedate dogs. He has been around kids over the age of 10 and did just fine. He may be a little too enthusiastic for kids younger than 10. Tato is housebroken and crate trained. He needs a little more work on leash training, but only because he gets excited when he sees other dogs, and wants to go play with them! Foster mom says that you just can't find a sweeter, more loving dog than Tato. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Additional adoption info
All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats
Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs
The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
