My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Romeo is not just dreamy to look at, he has a lovely heart. This sweet guy is happy to cuddle the day away. He also enjoys a good meander around the yard or house. He isn't looking for crazy play sessions, but he might enjoy some training games if food is involved. He also shows signs of being housetrained. Romeo has not wanted to make dog friends at the shelter.

The adoption fee for dogs includes vaccinations (DA2PLP+CV, Bordatella, Rabies) spaying/neutering, heartworm check, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea preventative, and microchip.

The adoption fee for cats includes a full exam (feleck/FIV tested, FVRCP), spaying/ neutering, rabies, deworming, and flea preventative.

If you wish to adopt a pet you will need to fill out an adoption application. You can either pick one up at the shelter or email the shelter to request an application be emailed to you.

The Calhoun County Humane Society, Inc. (dba The Animal Shelter), located in Anniston, Alabama, was established in 1973 as a result of the efforts of Susan Levens Phillips.

Our mission is
