Meet SWEET SHEBA!!!

Sheba is a 3 1/2 year old pit bull, and came to us as an owner surrender.

Sheebs (as we like to call her) is a shy, quiet gal who has really come out of her shell here at the shelter. Once she finds her human, she sticks to them like glue! She is still a little hesitant of new people, especially men, but she does eventually warm up.

Sheba has been through a lot. In her time, she’s had (at least) 3 litters. We have one of her babies, Annie, who is still available for adoption.

Miss Sheebs also can be territorial of her possessions, including her bed, toys, and food. She usually will take her food and hide it under her bed, unless there is someone in the kennel standing there with her. She needs to also go to a home with no cats or dogs.

People for Pets is a 501(c)(3) non profit no kill animal shelter. We house numerous dogs and cats until they are able to find their forever homes. We keep the pets until they are adopted out.
