Meet April!

Oh, hello there. My name is April. I'm looking for my forever family that will be patient and understanding with me. I'm an adult lady, but I'm quite timid and still learning what it's like to be a part of a family who loves me. I could live with older kiddos, but they need to understand that even though I'm just a little gal, weighing just over 11 pounds, I'm not going to want to be picked up all the time to start out. I need to be able to come around on my own terms after I start trusting you. I get along quite well with other dogs and would benefit from having a friend that I can follow around and learn the ropes of being in my forever home from, but it's not a must if you promise to be patient and dedicated to helping me learn. I'm still learning that I should go potty outside, but progress is being made every day! I haven't officially met any cats yet, but foster mom says she doesn't see how I could possibly have any issues with them.

I love to run around outside in the fenced yard, and since I'm not entirely sure what that leash thing is quite yet, I'll need to have a fenced-in yard for my safety. I just found out what chew toys are for, and I'm really starting to like them! I'm pretty inquisitive, and my eyes are super expressive. I know that I have a long way to go yet, but foster mom says she just knows there is a perfect family out there for me! Do you have time and patience and want to watch me bloom like a beautiful April flower?
