We adopted Rue from a shelter at 6 months old. He is sweet and likes people, and loves to play. He is energetic and likes to be taken on walks and play often. He is very well potty trained (we've only ever had one accident in the house in 3 years) and he doesn't chew things up, get into the trash etc. He's very well-behaved in the house.
Since getting Rue we have struggled with intense reactivity and anxiety. He does not like any other animals, especially dogs, and is aggressive toward them in and out of the house. We've tried exposure, anxiety medication, and three different trainers who used different approaches and nothing has solved the issue. He also is very nervous and anxious and it can be intense. As a result of these behavior issues, especially when we are considering having children soon, we're making the difficult decision to rehome Rue. We believe he'd do best in an area with a lot of land or a farm outside of the city, and a home with no other animals.
