Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Gracie PR, but my foster mom calls me Grace! I am a 2 yr. old Australian
Shepherd mix, possibly with Blue Heeler.
Don't let my name fool you; I once knocked over the recycling bin trying to catch a
ball in the house. Talk about a mess! My foster mom said, “oh no, maybe we shouldn’t play ball in the house”, and she cleaned up the mess. I did get into trouble one day. I chewed a magnet that fell off the refrigerator. It was on the
floor, so I thought it was mine.
I'm a social butterfly and love hanging out with the foster mom’s dog and cats. I sometimes want all the attention so I will bark at the other dog to get away, but that’s the extent of my warning, no fights.
I'm also housebroken and used the doggy door from day one. My car rides to the
vet for my vaccinations went fine and I didn’t get car sick. I am now caught up on
the vaccinations and they put me on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. I am also spayed.
When it is time to eat, I run into my crate and wait patiently for my food. Even if I
finish first, I don’t take the other dogs food.
I walk like a model on a leash, and I love going on walks!
I'm as playful as a puppy, yet as smart as a professor. It just took two days for my
foster mom to teach me to shake. Sometimes I get it wrong and give her two paws. I am trying to teach my foster mom to “high five”, she just isn’t getting it. I’ll play ball with you all day!
My foster mom says that I need a little more training on manners. If she is gone
for even a half hour, I am so happy to see her when she gets home that I jump on her. Once I know she is home to stay, I calm down and am the perfect dog again. I am so good with kids and know how to take treats from them gently. I spent time with 4 kids around me, including a 19-month-old and was such a good girl.
It’s important that kids respect me too. I would love some kids of my own!
Cuddling? I've got a PhD in that! My foster mom lets me climb into her lap on the recliner. I know I am 49 lbs., but I need those hugs!
My one fault, I can be an escape artist if I’m left alone in the backyard. I would much rather spend my time with you.So, if you need a laugh, a hug, or a partner for your morning jog, I’m your girl!
Gracie PR is being fostered in Virginia Beach, VA. Here is the link to the application:
