My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Talk about a pup that is the QUEEN of puppy dog eyes that knows how to turn on the charm. Tabby is the happiest go lucky pup you'll probably ever meet but she has a special power....sad face puppy dog eyes. All she has to do is lay down her infamous ears, lower her head some, give it a little tilt and look right up at you and then BAM! You are now completely in love with her and will do anything for her. You simply cannot resist Tabby's powers. Just look at her photos! She invented the puppy dog eyes phrase. Let's be honest though, she doesn't need these superpowers to be irresistible. She is sweet, loving, fun to be around, cuddly, adventurous, and everything you could want in a companion. Her ears are pretty great too. You can see her ears from a mile away or peeking out from behind the couch. She'll peek her little head out and sometimes the only thing you can see if her ears. It's adorable. She lights up a room and her ears perk right up when she sees her favorite people.

Tabby is a pittie mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 60 lbs and is full of love and cuddles. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We can guarantee that you will always be smiling around Tabby and she will turn any bad day into one of the best days. This happy girl will give you a camera full of memories. Your photo reel will be full of times of her splashing through the water and strolling through trails on hikes. Tabby is always up for some fun and exploration. Her medium energy will keep you on your toes and always bring about happiness. She is the perfect dog for walks in the neighborhood or hikes. Her foster mom takes her on daily walks throughout their neighborhood and she has nothing but great things to say about her. Tabby walks great with a gentle lead, which is simply just a special leash that helps Tabby walk like a lady. Her foster mom says she gets really excited when she sees those pesky squirrels while out on their walks, but with a simple correction she's walking like an angel again. Her foster mom also says she has loved every person she has introduced her too and does great in her kennel even when left for long hours. Tabby is smart too and eager to learn and please. Especially when treats are involved. This sweet happy girl loves a good treat and car rides to go get pup cups.

Tabby would love a home with a backyard where she can run around, catch some sun rays, and if you have a pool or a pond she'll happily dip her toes in the water and splash around.
When you’re at home with Tabby, don’t worry, she will self-entertain! One of Tabby’s favorite past times is playing with her beloved toys. Anything with a squeaker in it brings lots of fun. She'll eagerly challenge you to a game and happily tug away with all her might. You will find your toy basket empty and the floor littered with stuffies and balls. If you watched her video, then you saw her other superstar power. She's a "soccer" player in the making. Tabby is the perfect addition to add to an active family with kids ages 10 and up. She would love to play soccer with them in the backyard and then snuggle on the couch afterwards.

Tabby is dog friendly and does great walking past other dogs on walks or out in public. She does best with aloof playful dogs and although she enjoys some playful fun dogs we think she would be happiest as the only pup in her home. Tabby would also do best in a kitty free home as well. Not to worry though, Tabby has has an abundance of love to give. There will be no shortages of affection coming from her. Tabby wants a home that will include her in their days, keep her toy basket full, and give her the kisses and belly rubs she deserves.

We are willing to test Tabby with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

An angel sponsor has graciously covered part of the adoption fee to help make it more affordable for loving families. The total adoption fee is featured with the sponsor already deducted.

Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:

• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
• 25% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco
• Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
