Cinco is approximately 2 years old. He's a mixed breed, potentially a pittie-pointer mix. Cinco is very friendly and sweet but is still coming out of his shell. He needs a little more time to feel comfortable around new humans than the average dog. However, Cinco loves dogs and cat tested well without issues. He enjoys lying in the sun in the backyard or hiding in the hedges and does so quietly and contentedly. Cinco can be a bit of a couch potato as he likes to be near his human. He will lie quietly at your feet while you cook or wash dishes. Cinco is already housebroken and crate trained. His crate is his safe space and a source of comfort to retreat to. He sleeps quietly through the night, either in his crate or in bed next to his human. Currently, he does not yet enjoy riding in the car nor walking on a leash (but does not mind wearing a collar or harness), but he is working on these things while in foster care! Cinco knows some basic commands like sit and stay. He's still working on come. Fortunately, he does not jump up on humans nor bark often! We suspect older, dog-savvy kids (maybe 12+) would be best for Cinco since he tends to be timid. Some other random notes about Cinco: He does not shed much. He does not mind getting wet in the rain; He likes to be dried off and will let you wipe his paws (not sure about baths yet). He likes chew toys.He does ok with the vacuumand does not seem to mind louder noises. Thunder did not bother him much. If you're interested in adopting Cinco, please submit an application. He has completed his vet care and his adoption fee is $250. Please visit our website savedbyfate.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.
