Nina, a stunning mix of Husky and Shepherd, and her sister Lina, were the lone survivors of their litter, found roaming the streets of a small rural Texas town. They were hungry, dirty, and alone until they were rescued, and since then, Nina has blossomed into a loving companion.
She loves being pampered and appreciates the simple pleasures of fresh food and water every day. Nina gets along great with other dogs and is gentle with children. She’s playful yet respectful with all dogs she meets, knowing just when to settle down for a cozy snuggle. Nina is incredibly loyal and smart, making her a wonderful addition to any loving home.

FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping.
For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics.
To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

As a foster-based rescue organization, we do not have a central boarding facility for our animals. If you are interested in meeting one of our available animals, we highly encourage you to submit an adoption application. Once approved, you will be able to meet our animals.
