My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gingerbread is your new best friend! This super sweet girl wants to be your companion - she's always ready for snuggles or to find a sunny spot in whatever room you're in to nap and keep you company. Don't let her age fool you, she is spry....just say the word `walk` or pick up her leash and she's running for the front door. She loves to play and wrestle with her doggie friends, but may do best as the only pet in the house (and no cats!)...She also does not need a crate, she does so well having free reign in the home. but not to worry, she has the love of at least three dogs to share!July 1, 2024, 8:17 pm

Additional adoption info

Once you arrive, take time to view all of the animals available for adoption. Adoption counselors and volunteers will be on site to guide you through every step of the adoption process. The adoption process includes: filling out an application, counseling session, and interacting with the animal you are interested in adopting. Please be sure to set aside several hours to complete the entire process of interaction and adopting a pet.

MACC believes that introducing a new pet to your home should be a decision that involves all members of the family. If you have children living in your home, they should be a part of the adoption process.

More about this shelter

MACC works with individuals and organizations across Nashville to help domestic animals find caring homes, decrease over-population of cats and dogs through spaying and neutering, support widespread rabies vaccinations, and promote responsible pet ownership.

To ensure that the animals at MACC do not add to Nashville's population of unwanted animals, MACC requires every healthy animal adopted from our center to be surgically sterilized (spayed or neutered).

If the animal you are adopting has already been spayed/neutered, it will be able to go home with you after your adoption is complete. If not, your pet will need to stay and you will pick him or her up after spay/neuter surgery.

All dogs (6 months or older) have received a behavioral evaluation that provides guidance as to the best home for that animal. To determine an animal's behavior designation, MACC utilizes observations made during intake and treatment, behavior assessments, animal behavior logs (completed by both volunteers and staff) and when possible information provided from the animal's previous owner.

Adoption Fees*
•Dogs: $90
•Cats: $40
•Kittens: $60

*The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies license, and up to date vaccinations.
