My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella May, a 10-year-old spunky Yorkie weighing 10lbs, landed at Camo due to her original owner's housing issues. She is strong-willed and not a couch potato. She would do best with young or middle-aged owners as she might be a bit much for a senior.

She is a very active 10-year Yorkshire Terrier. She is crate trained and does not enjoy the company of strangers but she's just a cuddle bug with those she knows and loves. She needs an experienced owner who can redirect her behavior when she gets reactive around strangers and other dogs on walks.

Bella May is a true foodie. Bella May will thrive in a home without other dogs or young children, preferring to bond closely with one person. A quiet home with minimal foot traffic suits her nature best. Bella eagerly awaits her forever family to discover her and provide the love and stability she craves.

Bella is not a big barker and would do well in an apartment. She is very sweet and enjoys going out to explore in the yard or on walks. She loves to be picked up. She likes to look out the window at people passing by. She's spunky and has lots of good years left!!

She is spayed, up to date on shots, hw negative, microchipped and just had a dental.

Adoption fee is: $250

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
