Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $460, plus tax
Location: Foster Home
Lyric aka Mama is as sweet as they come! She's is ready to join you on your couch and be the ultimate couch potato best-friend. Lyric came to us from Atlanta Georgia, where she was found abandoned with her puppies in a trailer home. For as rough as her life has been, she is the sweetest dog around and ready to find her forever home.
Lyric uses her big pointy ears to listen to us tell her how much we love her about 50 times a day! She "melts" when anyone wants to pet her in a bid to get some tummy scratches. Although she is a bigger dog, she is the perfect mix of couch-potato and walk enjoyer. She is incredibly gentle, but would probably do better in a home without other dogs!
Lyric did undergo Heartworm treatment, but she has since been treated and is ready to go home! Lyric is about 5 years old, she is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.
If you are interested in giving Lyric a chance at a new life, please submit an application on Carver Scott Humane Society today!

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
