My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Elna! Her foster parents believe she was the inspiration for the “I’m just a baby” meme craze. She is small but mighty! She loves to wrestle with her foster brother, play catch me if you can, and keep away. When she is not playing with her foster brother, she loves to cool off in the swimming pool, or any other source of water she can find. This is the dog, who you take to the end of the year swimming pool events!

Elna loves treats, carrots and especially ice cubes!

She is happy to go into her crate at bedtime and sleeps through the night.

Elna is housebroken (occasional puppy accidents). She is up to date on her shots – including Lymes and microchipped. She is working on leash etiquette and knows how to sit and is working on shake. Elna is about 5 months old.

If you are interested in meeting this wonderful girl, please contact Sandy or The Great Pyrenees Club of Western Pennsylvania Rescue thru our website at www.swpapyr.org or email. She will LOVE you for it! We will also need you to fill out our adoption application. You will need an above ground secure fence for safe play and exercise. We are looking for homes in the surrounding Pittsburgh, PA area.

Additional adoption info

If interested in one of our rescues, you will need to fill out our adoption survey. To insure a safe environment for our dogs, we do home and yard checks. Great Pyrenees need a securely fenced in yard for safe play and exercise. Our adoption fee is contingent on the dogs vetting cost.

Go meet their pets

Since our dogs are kept with private families in a foster home setting... meeting our dogs is set up by an appointment. Thank you for understanding.
