Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Prepare for an onslaught of floof and cuteness. We’d like for you all to meet Kylo, a 1-year-old gorgeous English cream goldendoodle weighing in at a very lap-friendly 45 pounds.
Kylo was left at the shelter last week by a family who says they’d had him only for about a month. Beyond that, we don’t know much about the first year of his life. We fear he’s too often been passed around and cast aside as he’s scared and cautious of humans. His new family will need to be willing to devote some time to gaining his trust. But he warms quickly to those who are persistent.
Kylo has been with a foster family this week, enjoying playing with two other goldendoodles — and a cat, too. He loves playing catch and running after balls. He loves to take walks and is a dream on a leash. He spooks easily but has gained much confidence over the last few days. Noisy garbage trucks got nothing on him!
Once he’s decided to trust you, he’s loyal and incredibly affectionate, pleased to follow you around the house as you do chores or take long naps on the couch, nestled right up against you. He loves to have his head scratched and his ears stroked, and he doesn’t mind having his feet dried off after a romp in the wet grass. He sleeps sound and quiet all night long in his kennel.
They say good things come to those who are persistent, and Kylo is just waiting for a family to give him the time and attention he deserves. A lot of love and devotion — and a solid routine — will transform this somewhat hesitant dog into a sweet and faithful companion. What you invest you will get back ten-fold.
P.S. In the photo from his foster home, he's on the far right <3.
