ADOPTED!!!

Introducing CISCO the lovable velcro dog!  Awe he really is a sweet and non-intrusive little guy who just loves to hang with you.  We do not have a shelter, he is in my foster home.  He loves to sleep with me and be my comfort all the time.  He does go to the backyard with the other dogs but mostly to watch them play and sunbathe.  I have not seen him play with any toys either.

CISCO is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 10 pounds, perfect size for a cuddle companion.  Pure breed Shih Tzu.  He came to me extremely matted (picture attached) with a collar on that his hair was started growing over.  He did good at the groomers, he was happy to have all of that stuff taken off of him.  Unfortunately they had to shave him down much closer than I wanted them to so all of the mats were removed.

Yesterday (Tuesday, 05-13-2024) he was neutered and I had errands to run so I took him with me.  He rode in the crate at Walmart like a Pro!  I think he enjoyed shopping and greeting people.  He is very social.

I cannot guarantee that he will not have accidents but for the most part he does go outside to 'potty' or he will use the pee pads at the backdoor.  He is well mannered and obedient.  Walks well on a leash and rides in the car and crate without getting motion sick.

If you are interested in adopting CISCO please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you.

ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED

Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE.

We transport across the United States.

Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.

More about this rescue

We are a home based foster rescue organization, we do not have a shelter. All of our dogs are in private foster homes where they are healthy and socially active. We are better able to explain their personality and behavior.
We rescue dogs from the streets of San Antonio, Texas who have been dumped and abandoned as well as pull them from our very high kill city shelter. We also rescue dogs from surrounding counties and take owner surrenders.
We rescue dogs because of the passion in our hearts to help the voiceless when they need help the most. We are rewarded with great, happy and grateful dogs.
