Kaycee is young lady at about 10 months old and roughly 7 lbs . She is full of life and energy and has eyes that will stare deep into your soul. She is doing great learning her manners and basic training skills in her foster home. Kaycee is really quick to learn and is super treat motivated!
Kaycee will need a chihuahua savvy owner and someone willing to stick to a routine and continue with her basic training. She will warm up to her new people quickly but strangers take her a minute or two. She is working on her confidence building and will need to be given some patience, support and guidance. She has been around other bigger dogs and a cat in her foster home and gets along well with all. She really wants to play with everyone so a playful cat or dog would be great for her. If there is another dog in the home they will need to be her same size or bigger than she is, as well as confident.
Kaycee loves to go for walks and on any adventure and does great! Loud noises make her nervous, but she recovers quickly and is back to exploring the world. She would love a fenced yard as she needs frequent potty breaks, but it is not mandatory. In her future home, she will need to be fed in a crate, away from other pets as other dogs make her nervous around food. Florida thunder storms make her a little nervous but as long as she has a lap to sit in and ride out the storm she is fine. She is not destructive or overly anxious. Kaycee wants to be apart of anything you do especially if it involves a care ride.
She must continue her basic training and confidence building. Kaycee is is doing great with potty training. She will consistently go potty outside with frequent potty breaks and will go on a pad or grass pad in the house in an emergency. She is crated when her foster parents leave during the day and at night and doesn't have accidents in her crate. Kaycee is a great little pup and will be a great companion for anyone who is willing to stick to her training and work through her confidence building. She is fostered in Sebastian, FL, and her adoption fee is $400.
