Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UP-DATE8-25-24
Max no longer wears a belly band, seems completely house and crate trained. He is no longer jumping on us and he is listening better every day. He always sleeps quietly in his crate all night, and if we are gone. He comes out of his crate to go outside so he has a chance to potty and then he likes to come back in. He has not destroyed anything, enjoys his meals and treats, he is very food motivated, which always helps in training. He still has a lot to learn, but he is ready for his forever home and will make a great companion.
UPDATE.6-10-2
Max has made great strides since living with us in the house. From never being in a crate to sleeping all night in a crate. He wakes up early, around 6>30 A.M. ready to go out to do his business then come in for breakfast. He has had no accidents in the house, but I do let him out often. He is sweet and loving, wants to be close, in your lap, anywhere close. He is still jumping once in a while but for the most part, he listens when I say NO JUMP and hasn't jumped on me for quite, but I do re-enforce that every time he walks over to me or I let him in. He is good on the grooming table until you get to his feet then he starts resisting, so I just use a scissor on his feet and he is better at that. He loves all my dogs and plays good with them.
Max, date of birth, 5-21-2018, is unusually sweet and friendly considering he came from a breeding kennel. He loves to be close and loves attention. He is a bit on the needy side, preferring to be in your lap or laying close by.
He isn't a big eater, not food motivated at least not yet.
I took him, by request, from an all breed rescuer who bought him at an auction. She just couldn't leave him, so took him, hoping I he could come to my rescue.
He is quite beautiful, dark red hair and a good size for a male, not too big, good with my other dogs. Ad
Max is doing great with his crate training, starting to go in when I open the door, instead of having to be pushed in, settles down for a nap. I feed my rescue dogs in their crates and he is starting to eat better.
He is laying under my computer as I type this, he loves to be close. He loves everyone.
Max will make a wonderful companion to an adult or adult couple. He has too much energy to be around children, he is very active and loves to run outside. He is wearing a belly band to assist in his house training. He always does his business outside, but when inside he might lift his leg and I yell his name and say outside to pee and rush him outside. At the door, I remove his belly band before he goes out.
