I have been in Canada since 2021. I need a home outside of Nanaimo, where I can have the freedom in natire I crave. A 1 time odd incident of a dog fight caused the city to state I must be on leash and muzzled. Although this designation is being fought, as it was unfairly derived, my mama wants me to be happy. They have lots of documentation from many people (pack hike leaders, dog trainers, and parents of the dogs he plays with etc...) that I interact well with other dogs. Please help me to live the life I deserve.

If you are looking for a great family dog, look no further because here I am! The name is Fendi. I have been living at the shelter with my furry brothers and sisters since I was only a few hours old.

My mom died right after she gave birth to me and two of my siblings. Some really bad humans found her when she was in labour and stoned her to death! I don’t even know if she was done giving birth to all of us or not when she crossed the rainbow bridge. The nightmare didn’t end there though, those mean humans decided that killing our mom was not enough and started cutting our tails right after we were born. Honestly, I don’t remember any of it, my eyes weren’t even open, but some nice people saw what was happening and came to our rescue.

I was given to a dog rescue where a kind lady took us in, she took care of us the best she could.  I am a healthy 9 month old boy now and as much as I would like to stay with my mom, its time for me to fly the nest and find my forever family so that my mom can focus on other animals in need. I'm ready to move out!

Please note, I like to be the centre of attention. I love all the pets and I love to give all the kisses. I hope you like kissing, because I do ;) lick lick. I also require many belly rubs. It is essential for my health!

I am a very gentle boy who does not have a mean bone in his body. I get along with all my furry brothers and sisters and I specially love the cats that I live with. I enjoy nice people’s company and I don’t care if they are big or small. I just want to love and be loved. I'm also very smart and I cannot wait for my new family to teach me some tricks and doggo games.

It’s a dangerous world out there where I live for doggies and my mom has no choice but to keep us inside the rooms where we are safe and out of harms ways.

I often dream of running free in a beautiful field. I know the day will come when I can go for walks and hikes with my forever family. Maybe I will take a ball along. Once, when my mom was watching television, I saw a doggie chasing a ball over and over again. It looked like so much fun! I got so excited that I ran towards the television, hoping to jump in and join the game!! All I got, was a bump on my forehead that resembled a ball!!! Yes, yes it was silly, but a funny story right!? It would be so cool if I can have a fenced yard to call my own, but I am good anywhere as long as my family loves me and gives me the daily exercise I need to stay handsome and healthy.

You know what to do, press the adopt button below!

I have been neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped.

My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD + applicable taxes.

Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.

The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.

Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. More information can be found on our website.

*Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordatella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.
