Hey hey, friends! Are you looking for a supernova girl? Because you`ve come to the right place. My name`s Nova, and I`m ready to light up your life! Volunteers describe me as curious and friendly. I`m still a young girl so I`ve got some things to learn, but I`m ready to do that with you. I walk pretty well on leash with occasional check ins, and I`m easy to redirect if I get a little too distracted. I`m an affectionate girl who likes greeting people and receiving pets. If you`re ready for all the exciting things that come with having a young dog, I`m ready to be your loyal companion! Come on down to the shelter to meet me.
I also went on a doggie day out adventure with a volunteer on 11/9, here is what they had to say! Nova was a very sweet and excited young lady. She accepted lots of pets from us right from the start and was very friendly. She was most calm when walking in more remote areas, where she relished the opportunity to sniff everything she could. When on crowded paths with other humans and dogs, or around squirrels she was a little anxious and reactive, and was more difficult to focus on walking so she could use some training and redirection like most pups do! She is a quick study though! We walked the arboretum at the uc davis campus, as well as most of the campus. She was very excited to walk and loved to sniff everything. Several people asked to pet her and she was a little shy but happily accepted pets, especially when motivated by treats. She got a pup cup at the coffee shop and wolfed it down! She walked several miles, and slept on the car ride home
