My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hear me now and believe me later! Meet Muscle Man, the four-legged dynamo with muscles that could rival mine in my prime! This pooch isn't just about brawn; he's got a heart of gold and a charm that'll win you over faster than a set of heavy curls. Picture Muscle Man strutting through your home, his coat gleaming like polished steel and eyes that could melt even the toughest of hearts. He's a loyal companion who prefers to be the only in your pack, ready to own his turf and shower you with affection when he's the top dog.

But don't let Muscle Man's tough exterior fool you; he's a gentle giant at heart. Imagine coming home after a long day to find him waiting by the door, tail wagging with the enthusiasm of a champion. His playful antics and boundless energy make every day feel like a workout in fun and games. Muscle Man is the kind of dog who'll inspire you to stay active and enjoy life to the fullest, whether it's going for a run or just lounging together in the sun. Adopting Muscle Man means adding a powerhouse of love and excitement to your life, ensuring every moment is filled with strength, joy, and companionship.

Additional adoption info

The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application (applicant must be at least 23 years of age). Once your application is received a volunteer will contact you to discuss your application. All references listed will be contacted, along with a call to your veterinarian to make sure your current/former pets are/were up to date on all vaccinations. We also complete a background check and home visit will be performed. Once all that is complete, and application is approved, we will arrange meet and greets with our adoptables that may be a good fit for your family and lifestyle. If a perfect match is found, an adoption contract will need to be signed, along with an adoption fee.

All of the above steps are then reviewed by the Chi-Town Pitties, Inc. Board for final approval. Once your application is approved by the Board, we will move forward with scheduling adoption interactions with potential dogs that are a good fit for you and your family.

More about this rescue

We are a small 501c3 nonprofit rescue, committed to leading with our heads rather than our hearts, to help quality dogs find quality homes.

We work closely with area shelters to get as much information as we can about the dogs we take in so we can be as prepared as possible to provide for their needs as we place them in well-matched foster homes. If you would like to join our team of fosters, expect us to have a close ongoing relationship with you as you help your pup get ready for their permanent home.

If you are looking to adopt, expect us to get to know you, too, so we can help you find the dog that will thrive best in your home situation. Like big dogs in general, pit bull type dogs tend to have big personalities, and are an athletic bunch (they even power nap). They aren’t right for every owner, but not every person should be allowed behind the wheel of a Maserati either.

Wondering if a pittie is right for you (and if you are right for them)? Talk to us!
