My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Affectionate, Playful, Talkative

It's simple: Scruffy Duffy is a super-duper affectionate guy who just wants to be around people! He is friendly and snuggly, and he really leans into it when you pet him down his back. He will cuddle right up to you and sit on your lap or fall asleep next to you on the couch.

Scruffy is delightfully animated, too! He plays fetch and he chases the wand toy, but he thinks the *best* toys are the ones that he can bunny kick. Those toys activate his bunny feet and really get him going! He loves to exercise his curious and playful nature.

He's a chatty boy, too, and has a cute and comical high-pitched chirp! He uses it to talk, to look for you around the house, and to ask, "Is it dinner time yet?? The boy loves to be with his people and loves his food!

The resident cats in his foster home don't care for Scruffy (yet) and will hiss and growl at him, but Scruffy just acts all nonchalant! He's easy-going that way. While he was in the shelter, he was good with his feline roommates, as well as with people of all ages, playing and cuddling with them.

Scruffy eats a prescription-only diet to help with food sensitivities that give him the runny poops. He takes supportive meds, and might sometimes need you to wipe his bottom. We have seen improvement, so his people should be able to keep him on this diet, and be patient as he works through his tummy issues.

Scruffy is a sweet grandpa cat who deserves people to love and snuggle with! And toys to kick. He has a light brown and dark brown tabby coat and big green eyes; one of them might be a little squinty, but we think he uses it to his advantage for winking and flirting!

Scruffy is a loving and low-key guy who simply loves being with you. Contact us today to get the lovefest started!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
