My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Forget-Me-Nots are small, sometimes missed, flowers that symbolize true love, loyalty, and remembrance. At the Maryland SPCA, we classify a pet as a Forget-Me-Not to highlight an animal that may have some extra considerations for potential adopters to be aware of. Even though this pet may need a little extra TLC in order to fully bloom, we know they are still a strong candidate for adoption and they're sure to bring true love and loyalty into their new family. We hope you'll remember these beautiful creatures when you consider adopting.

Hi, I'm Paige. I'm in search of a balanced household. "I need a good blend of tranquility, activity and lots of snuggles.

Paige is a Sweet and affectionate girl who thrives on full-body rubs and being close to her family. Whether it's a quiet evening indoors (she loves to curl up on the couch) or an adventure-filled outing, Paige is content as long as she's by your side.
Her playful nature shines through during playtime, where she delights in tugging on rope toys and chasing after balls. Paige also enjoys mental stimulation through brain games and snuffle rugs, and even enjoys practicing commands like sit, paw, and stay to keep her mind sharp and engaged.

Paige is best suited for a home with older children who can handle her strength. A harness ensures she remains secure and comfortable during walks and outings. With her loving disposition and zest for life, Paige is sure to bring joy and companionship to any household lucky enough to welcome her into their lives.

More about this shelter

The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.

To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.

There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.

We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
