Introducing Bolt, a lively 2-year-old neutered male Maltese Shih Tzu mix, ready to sprint right into your life and heart! Bursting with energy, Bolt loves to explore the world on walks, displaying his joy with every step he takes. This small, fluffy bundle of enthusiasm is looking for a family that shares his zest for playfulness.
Bolt is best suited to a home without cats and small children. He thrives in an environment where he can be the center of attention and doesn’t have to share his humans with other pets or compete with the bustling activity that young children can bring. Ideal for an individual or a family with older children, Bolt will make a delightful and energetic companion.
If you’re looking for a spirited friend who is always up for a walk and eager for new experiences, Bolt could be your perfect match. Let Bolt light up your life with his infectious energy and joyous personality!
Bolt is available to adopt in the Greater Los Angeles area. Please visit our website to complete an adoption application: https://jasonheigl.foundation/adopt/bolt/

We ask you to begin by filling out an adoption application to express your interest in any of our animals. Once we receive the application and looked it over, we will contact you to answer any questions you may have about the pet and set up a meet and greet with the 4 legged friend you are interested in.
At that point, if you are interested in moving forward with the adoption, we will conduct a home check to make sure everything's good. We will ask you to sign an adoption agreement and ask for a donation for the adoption process.

More about this rescue
The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation was founded by Nancy and Katherine Heigl to celebrate the memory of a wonderful son and brother. In 1986, Jason was killed in a car accident. He was only fifteen years old.
Throughout his brief lifetime Jason loved all animals, especially dogs and cats and monkeys. He lived his life extending compassion and kindness to all creatures great and small. This foundation is his legacy.
The mission of the JDHF is to eliminate the needless suffering inflicted on animals by human cruelty, indifference, and ignorance. Our primary focus is the greater Los Angeles area, for now.
In pursuit of our mission, the JDHF routinely funds:
Our internal rescue group, the Heigl Hounds of Hope.
Other qualified rescue groups, via Networking donations.
The Transport of LA shelter dogs to states with great demand.
Free Spay Neuter procedures for the pets of qualified caretakers.
Compassion Education programs.
And we thank you for your support.
