My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lulu Minestrone is a darling and a queen! She has been known by several names, including Nimue, the Lady of the Lake of Arthurian legend, Minestrone, Lulu, and Molly. Lulu landed on our doorstep one summer night in need. She had been bitten in an altercation with another cat and was down on her luck. With a little TLC and, of course, vet visits, Lulu bounced back.

With many cats of our own, we wanted to find Lulu a forever home where she would get lots of love and attention. Unfortunately, two of our attempts failed--one due to her not getting along with other cats and the other due to her being a bit too mischievous to be safe around her new human grandmother; she has a tendency to swat ankles from time to time...

So, Lulu has been staying with us, in a room of her own, dreaming of a place to call home. She is adventurous, frequently returning from household adventures with cobwebs all over her whiskers. (I swear, I dust!) She is a cheerful lady who enjoys food, play, and pets. Sometimes, she will get a little overwhelmed with being pet and swat to say, "Enough, mortal!" (but she comes back for more pets 10 seconds later). We could see Lulu happy in almost any space as long as she had it all to herself--except for her human companions.

Like most cats, she enjoys windows and scratching posts, and she has a fair amount of FOMO. Thanks for considering making this tortie queen part of your world!

Lulu Minestrone is around 3 years old, and she is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. She is affectionate, brave, curious, independent, and playful.

Adoption fee: Lulu's fosters have sponsored her adoption, so there is no fee to adopt this beauty!

* You must be 18 or older to adopt. If you’re under 18, you must have a parent or guardian submit an application on your behalf.
* All cats must be kept indoors. In special circumstances, we may waive this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
* We do not adopt to any home that will declaw an animal. Declawing is cruel and unnecessary.
* All cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
* Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or into a home with another active cat or cat-friendly dog.
* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
