Shadow showed up in our yard three years ago and had an injured back leg. I trapped her and had her treated at a local
vet. She had an infection in her leg. I kept her inside and treated her with antibiotics for two months. She recovered and walked without a limp after three months. She is not as fearful as she was in the past and has adjusted to being within a few feet of us. She will not let anyone get any closer and will hide when frightened. She is litter trained and does not scratch or climb on furniture. She has a cat hut in the family room and watches our activities with interest. She trusts us enough to snore in her hut when someone is dozing on the couch a few feet away.
My husband and I are retiring out of state and plan to travel extensively. I don't think Shadow would survive if she were let
outside after being in the house for three years. She is six years old now and adorable in her shy way. She needs a safe home .
