Hoss uses his longs legs to play a phenomenal game of fetch! If you are too busy, he also enjoys romping with other dogs. You can harness his energy with some treats - he knows his basic commands and is eager to learn more if you teach him. He needs a bit more practice when it comes to catching, but he sure gives it his all! Hiking in the woods or playing in the yard, Hoss is ready to go along.

The adoption fee for dogs includes vaccinations (DA2PLP+CV, Bordatella, Rabies) spaying/neutering, heartworm check, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea preventative, and microchip.

The adoption fee for cats includes a full exam (feleck/FIV tested, FVRCP), spaying/ neutering, rabies, deworming, and flea preventative.

If you wish to adopt a pet you will need to fill out an adoption application. You can either pick one up at the shelter or email the shelter to request an application be emailed to you.

The Calhoun County Humane Society, Inc. (dba The Animal Shelter), located in Anniston, Alabama, was established in 1973 as a result of the efforts of Susan Levens Phillips.

Our mission is
