Meet MILO! This sweetie is a 1.5year-old, male, 45 lb Magnificent Mix (Lab? / Hound? / Pointer? / Collie?).

We are still learning about Milo, but what we know so far is he is such a sweetheart! He is a little shy sometimes but just wants to be loved. Milo knows "sit" and is very food-motivated, so he will learn many commands in no time. He is an energetic pup, so long walks along the Lake (or your neighborhood) would be great, and he would be a good jogging companion. Milo is good with other dogs. He has such a happy face and a fun personality and those houndy ears just melt your heart.

This handsome boy is ready for some Summer Fun, so fill out our application right away!

NOTE: We do NOT adopt out of state. Our adoption area is Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Exceptions ONLY in certain cases where a sweetie has issues (medical / behavioral / special needs) and we have had him / her for a longer time. We will then travel to the Moon for a Forever Family!

More about this rescue

Survivors for Strays is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, animal rescue organization dedicated to saving animals that are homeless, neglected, abused, or about to die in an open access animal shelter. Animals feel joy, pain, grief, and love. We are determined to help people be mindful of that and learn to value these lives to always treat them compassionately as part of the family. We are committed to providing a safe haven for those furry family members that are in dire domestic abuse situations and need a temporary home in order for domestic abuse victims to leave safely and with peace of mind.

Who We Are
We are Survivors & Thrivers of sexual abuse, intimate partner abuse, domestic violence, cancer, and other traumas. We are here because our furry family members or other animals helped us get through our personal ordeals, and we want to give back. It is OUR turn to save innocent, precious lives like the ones who saved us.

We are friends and family members of Survivors & Thrivers. We believe in the Human-Animal Bond and will do everything we can to support this Mission.

Who are we? We are YOU.
