My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Olympic AKA Oly is a beautiful, fun, and energetic Rottweiler bully mix with an estimated birthdate of 06/11/2023. She came to us from our partners at SCRAPS with her 13 babies in tow. She may have arrived fearful and emaciated, but she has crushed all of our expectations, proving to be a truly excellent dog hidden behind a lack of life experience and opportunity for learning.

Oly has become a truly epic dog, hiking reliably off lead and on lead, learning dock diving, running along side the bike, competing in a sanctioned all breed racing trial and taking home two championship points by winning all three of her heats, and through hiking the 44 mile Kettle Crest Trail with her foster family in 3 days. Oly is a dog who will always rise to the occasion and whoever adopts her is going to be an extremely lucky person.

Oly has displayed safe behavior around dogs and children. She would do best in a home with no cats.

Oly really Is a wonderful dog with nothing holding her back from living a beautiful life with the right person by her side. If you've been looking for the perfect mutt to really carpe your diem, you've found the one.

Oly comes spayed, vaccinated , microchipped and dewormed.  Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, medical records, and a sample of the food she's been eating.  To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
