My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Poppy is currently in a foster home, but she needs a new placement before September 28th! She is available for foster or adoption. Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **

Say hello to Poppy, your future lap dog extraordinaire! This lively gal is a social butterfly who's all about cuddles and affection. Her favorite hobby? Curling up in your lap and melting away your worries.

Poppy's past included a few doggy rivalries, but she's ready to call that life quits and move onto a quiet life as an "only dog"! She's been loving life in foster in Lakeview, and she'd be happy with leashed walks or a private yard to do her business and romp around!

Fully house-trained and always up for leisurely walks or cozy naps, Poppy is the ultimate snuggle buddy. If you want a loyal companion who'll brighten your days with her charming personality, Poppy is your girl! You'll find her belly up more often than not-- just a couple pats a day needed!

Come meet this delightful darlin' and see how she can fill your home with joy and affection!

** Submit your foster or adoption application at ChicagoCanineRescue.org! **

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
