Poppy might be the sweetest dog you will ever meet. Poppy’s smile always seems to brighten my day, she even knows when you are having a bad day and gives you extra smooches. She’ll be the first one to greet you in the morning and last one to kiss you goodnight. Her kindness is a great addition to any family. Poppy is best known to be a cuddle monster and a couch queen. She loves to cuddle up under the blankets. Her snoring is the best white noise machine too. I absolutely love her snoring; you will always know when she`s snoozing. Fair warning Poppy loves to give lots of kisses. But let’s not forget the most important thing about Poppy, her love. She loves people and wants to greet everyone on a walk. She clearly enjoys the extra pets and attention. Did we talk about her smile yet? The cutest smile when you give her some good belly rubs or when you return from home; in fact the lady is always happy. She has clear signs of when she needs to go out and is also crate trained too which is a plus! She keeps an eye out for squirrels on her walk but after they disappear she is back to her Poppy stroll. If you are out of the house or running errands for a while; Ms. Poppy has never had any accidents and is an angel when you are out. She is a fan of Gordon Ramsey if you turn the TV on for her. If you are looking for a laid-back sweetie or the perfect work from home buddy then Poppy is your gal. As her foster, I can’t stress enough how much joy, happiness and love she will bring to anyone and everyone.
Poppy would like to be the only dog in her home, and she in general needs some distance from other animals. She has lived with kids in the past and did well!

More about this shelter
CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
