There's no use in sugar coating it: Gizmo is a man of boundaries. His whole life was turned upside down after his owner's unfortunate passing, and he has a lot of fear of the unknown to work out. He has been with us for over 6 months and has really come out of his shell. He is a sweet boy who loves pets and kisses!

Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) was incorporated in 2010 with our focus being spay neuter assistance. In Noovember of 2013 SAMS purchased property and now operates as a no-kill shelter in Peoria County. We work closely with local and surrounding county shelters and obtain healthy and adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized for lack of space. SAMS receives no funding from government, state, county or municiple entities and are funded solelyby fundraising and donations. You can help by volunteering, adopting and donating to our cause.
